Exploring the world of IoT technologies
What is IoT?
IoT (Internet of Things) technologies describe the network of physical objects also known as “things” that are embedded with electronic devices, sensors, software and other technologies like GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, LoRaWan, LTE-M, NB-IoT, etc for the purpose of connecting, sharing and exchanging data information with other devices and systems over the Internet without any manual intervention.

How does IoT work?
The convergence of traditional fields of:
– Embedded Systems
– Wireless sensor networks
– Control systems
– Automation (including home and building automation)
– and other related systems
all contribute to facilitating the Internet of Things.
IoT technologies have many Commercial and Industrial applications, including asset management and building automation. IoT supports a common ecosystem, and can be controlled via devices associated with that ecosystem, such as smartphones or other centralised management systems.
